**Job Description:**
The GSRC L1 SOC Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, managing, and configuring security tools to prevent potential threats and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. This position requires strong analytical skills to evaluate, respond, and help mitigate alerts from our SIEM and Cybersecurity product suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and respond to alerts originating from the SIEM and Cybersecurity product suite
- Assist with the administration of our SIEM solution and other security tools
- Provide data and reports as needed to support business decisions
- Participate in day-to-day security operations monitoring and response from the Security Operations Center
- Develop content and action tuning requests to improve alert fidelity and reduce false positives
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or student in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field
- CISSP or other cybersecurity certification preferred; recent college graduates are also acceptable
- Familiarity with incident response principles
This role is part of our hybrid work model, requiring 3 days per week on-site at our facility. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment where you can grow your career and make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
