Job Summary

This role is responsible for executing finished goods or materials and components call offs within the production or buying centre location. The Associate Buyer will interface daily with suppliers to ensure procured amounts of finished goods or materials meet requirements.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside Supply Planners, production scheduling and raw material planners in ensuring timely delivery of goods. Analytical problem solvers with a goal-oriented approach are required to identify root causes, evaluate optimal solutions and recommend comprehensive upgrades to prevent future issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of master data set up in transactional systems, including supplier lead time, supplier details, product details and replenishment methodology (MOQS)
  • Communication of forecast requirements to the supply base for finished goods or components and materials
  • Cutting work orders and ensuring all POs are placed accordingly to the rules as agreed with the Account Lead
  • Execution and communication of safety stock levels required for raw materials/finished goods to the supply base
  • Review of data from the supplier in terms of accuracy and to ensure the information is in support of the supplier agreement and complies with what is in the Stryker system of record
  • Actioning as the first line of contact from suppliers informing of any adjustments to daily or weekly requirements based on the latest supply net requirements
  • Reporting of supplier performance based on standard metrics, i.e., preparing and monitoring supplier scorecards
  • Communication of phase out or phase in of new finished goods or raw materials into the organization and tracking to ensure timing has been agreed and is being executed to the agreement
  • Preparation of weekly status reports for the demand and supply execution process
Requirements
  • Degree level in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain management
  • Languages at least English but preferably a second language depending on global location
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar buying /production scheduling role
  • Entry level Graduate may also be considered for role
  • IT Planning system experience to include use of SAP as a minimum requirement or equivalent ERP systems
  • Previous experience in supplier relationship management
