Position Overview
The FP&A division at Experian is seeking a proficient Senior Financial Analyst to enhance support for the North American operations. Key responsibilities encompass month-end closing activities, revenue and expenditure forecasting, annual budget preparation, performance metric oversight, and executing ad hoc analyses. This position emphasizes delivering internal revenue partnership support within the business unit while collaborating with Finance teams across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regular Reporting: Monitor and report on essential performance metrics against targets for current lead generation initiatives.
- Financial Modeling: Develop models predicting future performance based on historical data and strategic business plans.
- Process Improvement: Enhance and standardize financial reporting and analytical models.
- Revenue Reporting: Create revenue reports utilizing Forecast, Budget, and Run Rates data.
- Month-End Support: Assist in Month-End, Monthly Forecast, and Budget preparation for the business unit's Profit and Loss statements.
- Issue Identification: Recognize challenges and opportunities impacting revenue and implement necessary actions.
- Performance Insights: Discover key performance indicators for insights and collaborate with the analytics team for necessary reporting.
- Segment Reporting: Analyze revenue and costs by segments and conduct scenario analyses for revenue outcomes.
- Control Environment: Maintain a robust control environment to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Cost Management: Collaborate with various functional teams to manage costs efficiently.
- Financial Support: Provide financial assistance for new lead generation initiatives in emerging markets.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Address various business functions or leadership requests as needed.
- Monthly Financial Packages: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial packages and serve as a backup for routine team tasks.
- Task Management: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and miscellaneous finance team responsibilities.
- Service Level Agreements: Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
- Procedure Documentation: Create and update procedural documents for routine processes.
Qualifications:
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience at a business unit level.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Financial Modeling Expertise: Strong skills in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Ability to analyze extensive financial datasets and accurately extract critical insights.
- Business Intelligence Tools: Proficiency in business intelligence tools and financial systems.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel.
- Proactive Approach: Independent and proactive with a history of driving processes and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration, CPA, or a related advanced degree.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, and Hyperion is a plus.
- Skills in model development are advantageous.
