Position Overview

The FP&A division at Experian is seeking a proficient Senior Financial Analyst to bolster our North American operations. Key responsibilities encompass month-end closing activities, revenue and expense forecasting, annual budgeting processes, tracking business performance indicators, and executing ad hoc analyses. This position emphasizes delivering internal revenue partnership support within the business unit, while collaborating with Finance teams across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular Reporting: Monitor and report on essential performance metrics against targets for ongoing lead generation initiatives.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop models to project future performance based on historical data and strategic business plans.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance and standardize financial reporting and analytical models.
  • Revenue Reporting: Create revenue reports utilizing Forecast, Budget, and Run Rates data.
  • Month-End Support: Assist with Month-End, Monthly Forecast, and Budgeting processes for the business unit's Profit and Loss statements.
  • Issue Identification: Recognize challenges and opportunities impacting revenue and implement necessary actions.
  • Performance Insights: Discover key performance indicators for insights and work with the analytics team for necessary reporting.
  • Cost and Revenue Reporting: Analyze revenue and costs by segment, conducting scenario analyses for revenue projections.
  • Control Environment: Maintain a robust control environment to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various functional teams to manage costs efficiently.
  • Financial Support: Provide financial assistance for new lead generation initiatives in emerging markets.
  • Ad Hoc Requests: Address miscellaneous requests from different business functions or leadership.
  • Monthly Financial Packages: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial packages and serve as a backup for routine team responsibilities.
  • Task Management: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and diverse finance team duties.
  • Service Level Adherence: Comply with service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
  • Procedure Documentation: Create and update procedural documents for routine processes.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in English is essential.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience at a business unit level.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Financial Modeling Expertise: Strong skills in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Ability to analyze extensive financial datasets and accurately extract key insights.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Proficiency in business intelligence tools and financial systems.
  • Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Proactive Approach: Independent and proactive with a proven record of driving processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration, CPA, or a related advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, and Hyperion is a plus.
  • Skills in model development are advantageous.
