Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer to join our IT department.
This role will collaborate with the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams to contribute to the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk.
We are currently embarking on our ITSM Evolution Program and maturing our CMDB, and we require a ServiceNow Developer with solid skills and experience in Configuration and Asset Management, as well as their associated SNOW modules and capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:- Design, code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain ServiceNow.
- Evaluate and implement system improvements to ensure successful implementation.
- Address incidents within published SLAs, perform scheduled maintenance tasks, and resolve system issues impacting SLAs.
- Implement ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web services.
- Develop a workflow framework applicable to multiple workflows and seek opportunities to enhance current manual processes.
- Provide standard methodologies for guiding adoption and influencing customers to invest in the solution.
- Contribute to defining the services delivered by ServiceNow and align them with customer requirements, SLAs, and critical metrics.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 4+ years of overall ITSM experience.
- 3+ years' experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
- ITIL V3 Foundation or above.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
- Experience working with one popular web framework - React, AngularJS.
- Strong experience with CMDB, Application Portfolio Management, SAM, and HAM modules in ServiceNow, including managing CMDB health, integrations, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
- Able to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and Rest Messages.
- Experience integrating with multiple data sources used to populate the CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, JSON, JDBC, and file imports).
- Experience with standard software development methodologies - logging, unit testing, code reviews, etc.
- Experience with upgrades and skipped update remediation.
- Experience utilizing the Agile/Scrum methodology to define and deliver development work.
