About the Role
This Senior Security Partner role plays a critical part in our organization's security framework, working closely with business units to identify and mitigate risks. As an expert in security assessments, you will conduct thorough evaluations of new enterprise developments and significant changes, ensuring that security controls are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive project security assessments (PSA) for new enterprise development and significant changes, guiding business unit leaders in making informed decisions about security controls.
- Maintain strong understanding of all business unit information security risks, anticipating needs for risk assessment, review, and adjustment or escalation of risk rating.
- Foster trusted executive relationships within business units, collaborating with management teams to ensure seamless communication and decision-making.
- Participate in project planning processes to guarantee adequate security oversight, advocating for business unit-specific security requirements.
- Assess, consult, and collaborate on linking security with business unit goals and initiatives, promoting a culture of security awareness.
- Support resource discussions based on business unit-specific needs, risks, and priorities, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Sponsor strategic decision-making, product development, system implementations, and change management associated with adopting new security processes and procedures.
- Promote corporate cybersecurity awareness activities, supporting local implementation of security awareness concepts as needed.
- Create and review security metrics to measure security effectiveness at the business and corporate levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant major or equivalent experience in security, risk, audit, compliance, and management.
- At least 7 years of experience in an IT-security field, with a strong technical background or security risk assessments.
- Proven relationship management, team building, and facilitation skills.
- Presentation, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to push back when risks outweigh benefits, driven by a desire to find solutions.
