Executive Chef

**Job Overview**

Marriott International, Inc is seeking an Executive Chef to join our team at Residence Inn San Jose Escazu. This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong leader who can supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.

**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
• Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and safety by monitoring inventory levels and adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Inform food and beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items to ensure seamless service.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed to accommodate guest dietary requirements.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records to ensure timely reordering and minimize waste.

**Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and health regulations.
