What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
Our team is looking for someone with a graphic designer's eye for visual communication and a data analyst's mind for automation to quickly learn, leap in and develop Tableau and Power BI dashboard visualizations for IT product owners and support team managers.
As you listen and learn how they run their business successfully, you'll analyze, visualize, consult, and develop new, automated dashboards in Tableau.
You will use data from multiple sources (IT products, support tickets, structured and non-structured feedback) across our internal technology division.
As part of your work, you may also be responsible for hands-on activities such as receiving, uploading, and data reconciliation activities as well as automation and API integration using data languages.
**Requirements**:
Skills essential for this position are:

- Strong knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Python and Advance Analytics
- Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to use presentation, word processing, and database or spreadsheet software
- Demonstrated attention to detail on ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the data warehouse and the individual work units
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of BI areas including ETL design, analytics and reporting
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills, clearly and accurately communicating complex and/or technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Self-motivated; able to work within a project based environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A Baccalaureate or a Master's degree in a relevant field is required
- 2-3years in business intelligence, Data Science, Visualization and data warehousing environments
- MS SQL Server, Integration Services and Reporting Services required
- Strong TSQL scripting abilities and understanding of complex stored procedures, views,
- data aggregation/manipulation through table joins/queries, database design, normalization and de-normalization techniques
- Demonstrated experience in data extraction and manipulation, ETL techniques required

What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
- Use reports and dashboards to tell a story with data; test assumptions, simplify complexity, and demonstrate business impact; turn complex data into beautiful and simple-to-understand visualizations in Tableau.
- Collect, organize, cleanse, aggregate and analyze significant amounts of information and massive datasets in SQL and DBMS, Excel, Python and/or R. Find and fix issues and debug into anomalies.
- Work with business intelligence/reporting systems such as Tableau, Power BI Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and other Office products.
- Create clean, clear, accurate, and attractive self-service Tableau dashboards to inform our Company's IT product owners of the health, adoption, or utilization and relative support workload for their products.
Predict trends to help prioritize product improvements.
- Develop report/models and batch queries for data using scripting languages such as SQL, R, Python.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend opportunities to improve the employee experience of technology.
Explore, test, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Data Modeling BI and Data Warehousing solutions
- Performs technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem solving for custom built data warehousing solutions
- Assists in implementing effective business analytics practices that drive improved decision making, efficiency and performance
- Communicate with nontechnical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions
- Identifies, communicates, and resolves data quality and data reconciliation issues
- Participates in and supports all planning and problem resolution
- Performs independent audits and reviews and validates databases to ensure data integrity
- Develops and enforces standards and procedures for the storage and retrieval of institutional data
- Maintains an accurate and comprehensive inventory of data, data systems, and data storage
