The Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) team remotely handles exceptions in the different Robotics-use cases globally.
Our strategy is to employ a human-as-sensor model and allow humans to perform just those portions of a task that require higher order cognitive ability.
AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence.
This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale.
AVOC NBD Associates support the back-end technology that make Amazon Robotics technology possible.
In this role you will support diverse computer vision and algorithms data sets.
Job Responsibilities:

- Perform data collection tasks related to an Amazon computer vision technology.
- Execute tasks assigned to you on a daily basis by adhering to predefined guidelines.
- Participate in process improvement to increase the quality, efficiency, and accuracy of your team's processes.
- Partner with your team manager when your work is delayed or blocked due to technical issues.
- Report issues with tools and software to the development team when necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all applicable Amazon policies for securing confidential information.
Our production schedules are assigned based on business needs and organizational demands to meet global standards.
Night and "graveyard" shifts are not available at this time.
Schedule flexibility is required which may include but not limited to: working weekends, holidays and/or overtime, in accordance with operational demands.
This is not a virtual position.
Due to the current situation caused by COVID-19, if selected for this role, all necessary equipment will be sent for you to work from home.
However, once our company provides clearance, you will be required to continue working from our SJO19 building, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia.
