This is a hands-on role with the unique opportunity to help further the development of Databricks Procurement organization.
You will support the Strategic Sourcing function in all purchasing needs, with a focus on go-to-market (Marketing and Sales) across Databricks departments and partners.
You will support processes for spend management, price negotiations, and contract management.
**The impact you will have**:
- Increase spend under management, deliver cost savings, and lead process efficiencies
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), evaluation of responses.
- Support evaluation, selection, development, and retention of the suppliers providing goods and services needed to conduct business.
- Use current spend information and knowledge to identify potential cost reduction plans
- Improve supplier performance against negotiated service level agreements and quality metrics.
**What we look for**:
- 3+ years supporting strategic sourcing for indirect categories of spend
- Driven person who can work in a team environment and communicate at a high level
- Partner with suppliers and internal business customers
- Experience delivering price optimization and cost savings.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing environment
- Process and customer service driven
- Experience with procure-to-pay systems (Coupa, Netsuite, and Ironclad)
- Fluent in English
