Looking to do something nobody else has done? Amazon is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Program Manager who wants to make a true difference in Global AP Payments. With a scale and complexity that does not exist at any other company, this person will drive innovative and cutting-edge payment solutions delivery for our growing and diverse global payee population. The position will make sure that we delight our payees on Day 1 of any program launch. They will actively work with technology teams, expansion teams, Treasury and other internal & external partners to deliver results.
With an emphasis on an exceptional payee experience and optimal payment solution delivery, the goal of this position will be to pay all payees in the amount, payment method, currency and date they expect. By providing your customer-centric approach, you will actively participate in Amazon’s business growth and optimization of payment offering. Consistent with a global vision, you are passionate about identifying areas for further automation, continuous improvement, or other opportunities to deliver innovative payment options and delight our payees.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to manage payment services effectively.
- Identify process and technology improvements that can be leveraged across regions or globally within AP and drive implementation.
- Define and drive both immediate and long-term solutions for payment escalations/complex payment use cases.
- Work with regional payments operations teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause identification and consensus on process enhancements.
- Manage cross-functional efforts in regulated markets with out-of-the-box payment solutions.
- Communicate effectively to Sr. leadership of Finance groups, various business teams, Tech teams, and external banking partners.

This role will be part of a truly global team, and will drive conversations with stakeholders from various parts of the business. We innovate on behalf of the payee and implement new payment solutions, which provide scalable processes and technology for the business growth and needs. We are always on a look out for more optimization in payments and are customer-obsessed in our approach.

Heredia, H, CRI
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Examples of delivering results through operational excellence and process improvement methodology such as six sigma or kaizen
- Experience defining business requirements and helping identify solutions through both process improvement and technology
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements.
- Experience defining KPIs and operational metrics
- Understanding of international payment rules and regulations
