**ABOUT**

PUR Projet is a global leader in supply chain sustainability. We develop socio-environmental projects within the supply chains of our Corporate Partners. Through the economic and social empowerment of local communities and the introduction of sustainable development initiatives at the agricultural level, PUR Projet seeks to address climate change, while regenerating and preserving the ecosystems upon which these supply chains depend. Many of PUR Projet’s projects fall within the categories of insetting, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, forest conservation and landscape restoration. PUR Projet is a B Corp Company which employs over +150 people and a presence in 10 countries.

**PUR Projet is recruiting** **a Project officer for Central America**

Your missions will be to support the development, coordination, management and monitoring of agroforestry initiatives with Costa Rica and Guatemala’s organizations on behalf of PUR Projet’s new and existing clients; for the purpose of supporting sustainable livelihoods such as but not limited to:

- ** Project management**: Set-up, Plan, Coordinate, and Monitor the implementation of project activities, build, train and manage local partners, control quality of implementation, improve proceedings, coordinate the implementation of impacts monitoring activities, develop and manage project budgets, update Reporting and Communication tools and formats, coordinate carbon certification.
- ** Project development**: Assess the feasibility of, and design new ecosystem restoration projects in different regions of Central America (Guatemala and Costa Rica).
- ** Project monitoring / data**: Be responsible for the data collection with the support of Field Data Collectors Officers. Adapt and implement data collection forms to the project's local context.
- ** Support innovation**: Work with team members across PUR Projet’s global team to share information, knowledge and best practices.
- ** Partnership and representation**: Supervise & work with local partners (If any). Represent PUR Projet at the manager’s request.

If you have project management skills: development and implementation of work plans, financial and technical management of contracts, supervision of consultants, etc; You demonstrate technical capacity for program development as well as technical; You are passionate about Nature Based Solution Projects, You want to be part of an international team, you are team player and you want to improve your knowledges in agroforestry, **This position is for you**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience of field projects implementation and/or management of projects.
- University degree on Natural Resource Management, Agronomy, Forestry, Agroforestry, Rural Development or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge/professional experience related to the cocoa/coffee, supply chain and/or cocoa/coffee agronomy.
- Knowledge in carbon certification for afforestation/reforestation project
- Knowledge in tree nursery
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English. French is a plus.
- Residency and Permit to work in Costa Rica.
