**What you will do**:
Leads a team of Managers and/or Buyers responsible for strategic and tactical purchasing activities for assigned manufacturing sites and divisions to ensure a high level of customer service, attainment of KPIs and culture of continuous improvement. Serves as escalation path and advisor for purchasing issues. Teams with process partners to ensure alignment of goals, strategies, and initiatives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Ensure strategic and tactical purchasing activity is completed accurately, timely, and is aligned to support the supply plan and inventory targets.
- Ensure team actively participates in key operational meetings (ie MDI) with assigned manufacturing sites, and proactively provides information on purchase order status and assigned actions.
- Provide input and influence development of KPIs, ensuring that KPIs are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage and communicate KPI performance and initiate and lead cross-functional improvement actions where necessary.
- Actively influence key stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment of expectations and performance.
- Demonstrates understanding of the industry and macroeconomic conditions.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture that delivers measurable results.
- Attract, retain and develop the best talent, set objectives and performance goals, optimize team structure to accomplish goals, and ensure employee engagement across the site.
- Influence the organization across departments to drive standardization and simplification, and support initiatives in line with Purchasing strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ISO13485/9001 and EU MDR, and support audits as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**What you need**:
Professional Requirements Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Supply Chain Management/Engineering or similar field is preferred.
- English language. Second language preferred, depending on global location and assigned supplier and customer groups.

**Background Experience Required**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, or related field, including at least 3 years in management roles.
- Knowledge of MRP-ERP business systems. Advanced MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations including ISO13485/9001 and EU MDR.

**Competencies**:

- Strongly preferred medical technology part/component sourcing experience.
- Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
- Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Leadership and verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel to develop, promote, and maintain sourcing and stakeholder relationships.
