**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As an Automation Engineer, you will be supporting the Engineering team by streamlining their development workflows. You will play a key role in enhancing the productivity of our backend team by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, writing automation tools to facilitate day-to-day tasks, and by owning all those components that sit in between the infrastructure and the product (e.g., Operators for container orchestration, creating dashboards for our monitoring infrastructure, etc ). As an automation engineer, you won’t be involved in SRE DevOps duties, but you will be fully dedicated to support our backend engineering team in their day-to-day work. You are an intermediate or senior DevOps engineer with an interest in automating and streamlining development workflows. We need a team member who can ensure that our backend developers have access to the best CI/CD workflows, in order to stay lean and productive.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- You should be productive in at least one scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript etc.
- Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes (including K8s Operators), willingness to learn K8s Operator Development.
- Proven experience in developing successful CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Travis, Jenkins etc.
- Solid knowledge of logging infrastructure (e.g., ELK stack) and monitoring/observability infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry).
- Solid knowledge of a Public Cloud such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud etc.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Knowledge of Go
- Knowledge of the JVM
- Experience with Chaos Testing and Performance Testing
