Junior-mid QA Engineer

**Manual QA**

We are looking for a junior to mid level Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is a manual QA position with the possibility to expand to Automation testing.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be accountable for ensuring that our customers get a quality product, testing the products against business requirements and product specifications. You will work closely with the BSA/DEV teams to understand product features and requirements; design effective test cases and execute them to verify features and specifications. You should be able to identify and prioritize issues.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you should be able to work effectively in a team environment without the need for close supervision. Effective communication is a must, for the successful writing of bug/Defect reports and for verifying product functionality with the developer. You should also be able to work competently and are able to reproduce and isolate problems as well as verify fixes. You should be responsive, flexible and adapt easily to changing requirements and tight timeframes.***

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for testing multiple projects. Teamwork and a professional attitude are key in this role. Communication skills, both written and oral must be professional and accurate. Strong interpersonal skills are very important as well as you will be working with BSA and Development team.
- Work with the QA team members to further develop the test automation tools and strategy for back-end services
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment
- Experience in writing user stories, creating defects and reporting test results
- Experience in creating and executing functional and regression test cases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Participate in Scrum Meetings - stand up, planning and retrospective meetings
- Assist Automation team; execute automation scripts for regression test
- Other duties as assigned

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND BEHAVIORS**:

- Solid understanding of agile methodologies
- SQL scripting knowledge
- Solid grasp of the testing Agile process - be able to create test cases & test scenarios and report testing results within highest industry standards
- Experienced with User Acceptance Testing, Smoke Testing, Functional testing and Regression testing
- Capable of contributing to libraries with little to no supervision as well as providing supervision for more junior engineers
- Well-organized and detail oriented
- Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels and attain desired results.
- Must have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team to achieve business results.
- Works well under stress and tight deadlines
- Effective communication, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Balances listening and talking, speaking and writing clearly and accurately, influencing others and keeping others informed.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
