Your Role
- The position of Talent Development Specialist involves planning, coordinating, delivering, and assessing a variety of talent development activities, including technical and non-technical training, performance management, and career development. This role reports to the Regional Talent Development Manager and collaborates with local, regional, and global teams to develop and deliver programs that meet the learning needs of technical and administrative team members. The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for assessing talent development needs and crafting strategic solutions to support regional and firmwide goals. Additionally, the role involves organizing and facilitating on-the-job training for the Costa Rica office.- What You Will Do- Partnering with Regional Manager Principals, Office Manager Directors, Regional HR Director, Regional Talent Development Manager, and Global Talent Development Leader to create a strategic talent development plan.
- Execute a talent development strategy for the region encompassing activities, processes, metrics, and results, along with the Regional Talent Development Manager.
- Act as a local Talent Development Specialist for the CR office partnering with senior members of the organization.
- Work as an LMS expert, providing training and guidance to other HR and Admin members.
- Identify and assess learning needs by meeting regularly with the Studio Leaders to ascertain training and development needs.
- Partner with the local HR team to ensure talent development strategies align with HR strategies.
- Partner with Regional HR Director and Firmwide talent development on regional and firmwide initiatives.
- Develop, organize, and conduct learning programs and promote a learning culture.
- Review, evaluate, and analyze talent development activities’ effectiveness and recommend updates and changes.
- Develop and implement learning opportunities that ensure a clear understanding and alignment of business procedures, policies, and systems.
- Track, monitor, and report on talent development activities and spending to budget.
- Works to ensure all employees are using the LMS system to manage their training needs. Optimize LMS for tracking and managing learning hours, skills gaps, and needs.
- Engage and network with local learning providers/vendors to bring in external expertise.
- Function as a coach on learning and talent development needs as part of the service the team provides.
- Your Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in talent development and/or L&D, ideally in a fast-paced professional services or consulting industry.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English; Portuguese would be an additional benefit.
- Outstanding ability to determine priorities, take ownership of tasks, exhibit a high level of initiative, and follow through.
- Experienced training facilitator with proven knowledge of leadership and power skills (“soft skills”) matters.
- Passionate about learning and coaching.
- Proven track record in building content and facilitating learning programs.
- Data and HR Analytics literacy is desirable (Excel, BI tools, data cleaning)
- Strong interpersonal communications skills
- Strong business acumen; extensive skills in thinking creatively; proven ability to see beyond the specific interests of the learning function to the broader picture, understanding the needs of growing people.
- Strong project management skills: the ability to handle multiple competing priorities; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
- Proven ability to lead/manage change and the ability to coach, evaluate and mentor.
- Ability to work independently, navigate, and maintain productivity in a matrix environment.
