**Role Purpose**

Leads, develops and controls the business and operations on the country-level to achieve short and long-term financial and operating objectives (profitability, revenue, productivity, market share, deployment of human resources and training activities, budget) in line with the DPDHL strategy. Leads from to the front to promote growth across our four pillars (Motivated People, Great Service Quality, Loyal Customers, Profitable Network)

**Main Accountabilities**
- Inspire results and respect through empowerment, accountability, recognition, rewards and feedback; Determine functional team structures, roles, performance targets and goals.
- Support employees to develop themselves and to live out their purpose through candid and regular feedback and inspirational leadership and support employees with development and career opportunities.
- Develop sustainable strategies that support employer, supplier and investment of choice; then inspire and align the organization to make these strategies a reality.
- Drive customer satisfaction strategies across all levels of the business.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and establish clear, challenging and achievable targets. Then align resources and the organization to achieve those targets.
- Build a culture that constantly seeks new ways of organizing, and expects constant challenge to organizational norms, assumptions, and practices, in order to deliver competitive or long term advantages for DHL.
- Interact effectively cross-culturally, cross-divisionally and at all business levels, and make use of your informal and formal networks to build the commitment of senior stakeholders to outcomes which will have a major and lasting impact for DHL.
- Champion the need to operate as 'one DHL organization' and in partnership with customers and suppliers, making use of your network across DPDHL and externally to provide integrated solutions to problems, and find 'win-win' outcomes.
- Act as trusted market/sector consultant to the external customer and internal colleagues and help develop compelling and integrated solutions for complex supply chain requirements.
- Initiate, sponsor, and direct the work of very large and complex teams (both line and matrix/virtual) to ensure that they achieve their goals.
- Be responsible for steering and deploying new policies and processes for functions of responsibility.
- Champion and lead continuous improvement and high quality throughout functional teams and organization.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience specifically in General Management positions, preferably with management experience within DHL.
- Demonstrated commercial aptitude and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate both leaders and staff to effectively translate philosophy and corporate goals into focuses actions.
- Master of Business Administration degree.
- Ability to organize, manage, and administer financial, operational, and sales activities across the country.
- Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing and in a business setting
- Fully bilingual (English - Spanish).
- Ability to work under extreme pressure.
- Organizational and high-level planning skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computerized systems.
