The role:
The Associate Project Manager is expected to assume the following responsibilities for the assigned financial portfolio:

- Responsible for identifying areas to improve or maintain project budget and schedule by controlling financial & contractual numbers and KPIs
- Acts as financial expert for financial systems and understand financials and the function in SoftwareONE Systems
- Maintains the project’s budget and schedule, analyzes progress reported against the work schedule; and recommends actions to improve progress
- Is responsible for producing bimonthly financial and project health reporting to PMO Leaders
- Owns analysis of Portfolio Trends and Recommendations
- Oversees the project’s revenues and expenses to make sure the project meets its budget and completion time expectations
- Provides support to take intelligent and meaningful proactive or corrective actions required to bring projects back on track
- Responsible for the continuous validation of project data
- Verifies the project progress together with Project Managers and identified areas to improve
- Supports project setup, monitoring, controlling, and closure
- Secures all necessary steps and validates they are accurate and complete in SoftwareONE Systems
- Ensures data quality and PMO Process standards are being met such as RAG status and Escalation Management
- Acts as point-of-contact for matters relating to Project Controlling, Financials, Invoicing, and Funding
- Identifies and addresses opportunities for improvement
- Develops and utilizes reports to manage and identify improvements to Project Health
- Responsible for Portfolio Project Health escalations and overall Project Health Tracking, Trending, and Recommendations
- Monitors and Ensures adherence to Financial Concepts such as invoicing, payment milestones, vendor funding, revenue recognition, profitability, and financial forecasting
- Performs periodic audits to ensure process and project health quality

The Associate Project Manager is expected to assume the following specific tasks for low to moderate complexity projects:

- Support project administrative and financial management activities
- Ensure projects are implemented with full adherence with SoftwareONE’s Global Project Management Methodology, local project governance requirements, financial processes, financial records and reports and audit follow up.
- Work with delivery teams to define requirements, success criteria, milestones etc.
- Build project plans, kickoff projects, develop status reports, schedule meetings, run status meetings, and maintain communications to keep all stakeholders informed throughout project.
- Track and manage project activities like: Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk & Issues Management, Meeting Management and Change Management.
- Actively manages project escalations to resolution.
- Attainment of project profitability, utilization, chargeability, efficiency metrics and any other relevant KPIs for all projects.
- Solicit feedback from customers, delivery resources, and any other stakeholders to provide input for lessons learned.
- Support project reporting activities including providing monthly project financial updates, revenue recognition, and approving hours.
- Performs early onboarding administrative activities for the overall portfolio
- Travel for projects, corporate events, and/or other events as needed - estimated at 25%.

What we need to see from you:
**Education/Certification**:

- Bachelor degree in business administration, finance, project management, computer science, or another relevant degree
- Finance or Project Management Certification is a plus
- Agile Certification is a plus (e.g. PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, etc.)
