**Sustaining Supervisor**

The Sustaining Supervisor will mentor and train team members in Engineering skills and activities, manage team members working on multiple projects in parallel across various customers.

**What you will be doing**:
The Sustaining Supervisor will:

- Provide supervision for Engineering Team including but not limited to:

- Performance Evaluations, Goal setting, Competency Mentoring, Recruiting, Personnel and project conflict resolution (customers, peers, upper management, and employees), Budgeting.
- Mentor and train Engineering team in Engineering skills and activities.
- Manage engineers working on multiple projects in parallel across various customers
- Interface with customers to define design inputs and address technical challenges
- Break down complex problems and identify solutions.
- Make critical decisions based on company vision and initiatives
- Produce, review, and present product documentation including drawings, proposals, and technical reports and analysis.
- Responsible for organizing, planning, monitoring, controlling and scheduling the necessary activities of varying size and complexity sustaining projects to achieve goals.
- Works with counterparts on assigned projects/management initiatives, with frequent off-hour communication.
- Support the introduction of new product lines during the transition state of pre-production to mass production by supporting the new product through trainings and other activities that may be triggered by the new process, design evaluations, drawings, and fabrication to company, industry, and customer standards.
- Supports Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA), Nonconforming Materials. Reports (NCMR), and Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR) activities.
- Support the company's cost reduction programs
- Travel both domestically and internationally as assigned (could be up to 15% of time)

**What do we expect from you**:

- Bachelor in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree or equivalent experience
- Master's Degree or additional certifications or licensure is preferred
- Minimum of 1 years in a personnel and technical management role in an engineering or production environment.
- Experience with development of manufacturing process improvement initiatives
- Experience in creating product documentation, product testing protocols, and test reporting
- Experience leading troubleshooting and resolution of design and production issues
- Experience with strict quality and regulatory requirements
- Experience transitioning/supporting off-shore manufacturing
- Ability to obtain a passport and travel domestically and internationally as required
- Willingness to participate in frequent off-hour discussions with company engineers based in China and USA
