**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist internal customers with creating requisitions for goods and material.
- Negotiate favorable price, delivery, terms and shipping with vendors.
- Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and communicate with internal customers when material will arrive.
- Execute reschedule of material as needed.
- Work with internal customers to clarify requirements.
- Work with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.
- Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion.

**Education and/or Experience**
- BA in business preferred
- One to three years purchasing experience.

**Other requirements**
- Experience with an MRP planning system helpful

**Requirements**:

- Ability to maintain positive work relationships with all work associates
- Ability to maintain good customer relations.
