We are looking for an ASP Content Specialist to perform testing on Amazon Devices and identify issues that could impact the experience of Alexa Smart Property customers. Alexa Smart Properties (ASP) lead the Alexa Enterprise initiative with a north star of helping businesses unlock growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction through Alexa’s artificial intelligence, while delighting end-users.

You will collaborate with the ASP Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) team and a group of experienced testers to ensure that new and enhanced software releases and devices meet the standards required for a successful customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Perform testing on Amazon Devices to ensure functionality of new and existing Alexa Smart Property features.
- Raise defects for all failures observed during testing and track doubts related to the execution of test instructions through pre-defined mechanisms.
- Test several variables of an issue to identify the root cause and report it accordingly.
- Follow SOPs and execute tasks assigned on a daily basis and strive to meet productivity and quality baselines.
- Share, update and acquire knowledge from peers, on-the-job training, and via SharePoint, Wiki, etc.
- Use required tools and follow relevant practices that facilitate smoother operations and eliminate process dependencies.
- Seek help from peers and/or your manager when instructions are unclear or if you are uncertain about a procedure.
- Track daily execution status using recommended tools and techniques, and provide individual status reports.
- Actively participate in internal cross-training sessions and trainings required by the product team(s) and in your organization.
- Responsible for the security and maintenance of the company assets, accessories and devices allocated to you to perform your daily operations.
- Use standard tools for effort and data capture and abide by the regulatory processes defined for ensuring process compliance, confidentiality, and security.
- Contribute to process improvement ideas wherever applicable in your project scope.
- May assist in the development of new-hires to help them scale in their role.

About the team
The Alexa Developer Experience and Customer Trust team (ADECT) drives the entire ingestion and certification process for 3P content in Amazon Devices, which involves the entire life cycle from the time a developer submits any content to the time it is put up on the store, and ensuring the high-quality experience for Amazon customers even after that.
- Advanced student in Computer Science, Software Development or similar technical field.
- Demonstrated working knowledge with various QA methodologies and tools such as Postman, Jira, etc. (1-year minimum).
- Enjoy working with ambiguous/undefined problems.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
