This role is part of the Automation Tools technical team in the Shared Application Services organization. Moody's is seeking a Power Platform Engineer to lead our team in supporting Moody's Automation Tools platform.

As a Power Platform Engineer, you will work in a highly collaborative environment and will be responsible for setting up and managing the environments; implement security and DLP policies; and provide administration, monitoring, development, and user support.


  • Working with our internal users to advise and implement Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Designing and developing Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Manage Power BI / Power platform Administration task and work with Microsoft Support team on service tickets.
  • Working as COE team members and help to other developers/Engineer on new challenges.
  • Building a Power Automate flow to automate business processes.
  • Building a Power Apps to meet a business need.
  • Development of dashboards/reports in Power BI.
  • Responsible for providing full lifecycle Power Platform administration (updates, AD security, account management, capacity management, documenting processes).
  • Configure data gateways for access to multiple data sources across the enterprise.
  • Manage Environments, Configurations, Integrations and Deployments.
  • Create and maintain documentation for the environment and solutions.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, consistently high throughput and system performance, and high levels of customer service.
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention policies both at the tenant and environment levels.
  • Meet individual and team goals.
  • Document and maintain procedures.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Power Platform and over 8 years of experience as software developer in PeopleSoft Finance Suite.
  • Proven development experience using Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Excellent understanding of databases.
  • Experience in following standard development and deployment processes.
  • Experience with Rest APIs using PowerShell scripts.
  • Ability to design, develop, secure, and troubleshoot Power Platform Solutions.
  • Knowledge of how to structure Power BI data models and Power Query.
  • Experience on the Azure Platform.
  • Familiar with Power Platform user license management.
  • Experience with establishing and Microsoft Power Platform maintaining Center of
  • Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure AD with experience in Azure Cloud Administration.
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Experience troubleshooting network, firewall, and active directory issues.
  • Proficient in creating PowerShell scripts.
  • Technical experience in PeopleTools 8.5x
  • Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface, Application Engine, SQR etc. with working knowledge of database.
  • Strong Functional Knowledge in PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 Application modules
  • General Ledger, Billing, Accounting Receivables, Contracts.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting abilities, and SQL.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills and comfortable with Agile deliverability methodology.
  • Ability to remain flexible and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills required to create and maintain analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong sense of ownership of the work product.
