The Impact You'll Make in this Role


3M is looking for passionate and driven Customer Support Agent to provide customer support for the Tier 1 Phone Support Global Service Center team in Costa Rica in building a collaborative and innovative culture.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Handles a wide range of customer inquiries and/or complaints that are received via phone contacts.
  • Shares product and service recommendations with customers to meet their requirements
  • Responds to a variety of inbound internal business partner and external customer inquiries, taking action as appropriate:
  • Provides inquiry resolution and escalation per established processes
  • Triages inquiries to others for resolution
  • Documents customer interactions accurately and completely
  • Communicating clearly and professionally via telephone, live chat and/or written correspondence
  • SME within designated division, will have an indepth knowledge of products, resources and contacts.
  • Will develop processes and best practices within team functions
  • Handles nonroutine and difficult inquires/issues. Adapts to differing soft skill techniques and methods to develop solutions for a variety of complex issues
Your Skills and Expertise- Strong system aptitude and analytical skills- Must be able to adapt easily to rapid change and work well independently and with teams- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Strong interpersonal skills

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of one (1) year call center, customer order entry, or other customer service experience required
  • Fluent English B2+

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited University
  • Minimum one year combined experience using workforce management systems and/or contact management systems
  • Must be able to develop positive relationships with all internal clients, all levels of 3M leadership as well as 3M customers
