Job Purpose:

As a member of the Citi's Business Continuity Management (CBCM) Denial-of-Service (DOS) Testing Regional team, the Disaster Recovery Application Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with Application Teams in test planning and execution for a group of applications involved in a scheduled DOS Program event. This includes ensuring timely deliverables, clarifying test objectives/criteria, addressing testing inquiries, and providing COBTRAC support.

The DOS program comprises Data Center and Tech Room Site Level DOS Tests, quarterly and semi-annual Compliance DOS Tests, EUC Testing, and Volume Validation.

Regarding Crisis Management, the Disaster Recovery Application Coordinator will oversee the recovery of applications from affected data centers or tech rooms to their recovery sites by coordinating with Application Teams, Disaster Recovery Coordinators, Technology Recovery Coordinators, and Production Support. Additionally, they will communicate recovery status/issues with the Disaster Recovery Project Manager.

Job Background/context:

CBCM Denial of Service (DOS) is a crucial control discipline within the organization, mandated by CITMP. Hence, this role falls under OTRM Business Continuity Management and reports to the Denial of Service (DOS) Testing Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all application coordination aspects of assigned Denial of Service (DOS) Tests: Data Center and Tech Room Site DOS Test, Quarterly Test, and Sponsored DOS Test. EUC Standalone Testing Volume Validation Testing
  • Responsible for end-to-end test planning and execution for the designated suite of applications for a sponsored DOS Test, ensuring timely deliverables are met.
  • Engage with Application Teams, Disaster Recovery Coordinators, Technology Recovery Coordinators, and Production Support during DOS sponsored test planning and execution.
  • Support Lead BRCs Test Planning meetings as part of the Business Coordinator and provide testing guidance.
  • Ensure timely entry of test results by Application Teams post-test and approval within five business days.
  • Collaborate with Business Coordinator and Business Functionality Testers to review failed test results.
  • Conduct post mortem/lesson learn sessions with Application Teams for failed tests and categorize appropriately in COBTRAC.
  • In the event of a crisis/disaster, collaborate with Application Teams to recover applications and report issues to the Project Manager.
  • Provide technical recovery and testing capabilities guidance to stakeholders.
  • Drive continual improvements and enhancements to the DOS Testing Framework.

Requirements:

  • English proficiency at an advanced level
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree from a university
  • 2+ years of relevant Business Continuity experience
  • Familiarity with Business Continuity principles and procedures encompassing all business planning and regulatory compliance aspects
  • Strong communication skills across diverse regions and business structures
  • Demonstrated people/project management skills for strategic direction
  • Excellent Project Management abilities
  • Proven track record in managing virtual teams and remote staff
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with business and technical groups
  • Ownership in issue resolution, showcasing management of delegated tasks
  • Capacity to devise and implement a continuous improvement strategy
  • Aptitude in defining and adhering to robust process standards

Desirable:

  • 2+ Years of experience in Application Development or Infrastructure Development settings, including cloud and robotics environments
  • 2+ Years of experience in the Financial Industry preferred
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery methodologies and technical testing strategies is advantageous
  • Understanding of Infrastructure and Data Center organizational structures and processes
  • Membership with Business Continuity Institute or DRII is highly desirable
