Sr DBA (Hybrid)

SGF Global is looking for a Sr DBA, for IT enterprise in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required
6 years of experience
Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
Indepth understanding of database structure principles
Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
Expertise in SQL and Oracle
Proficiency in MS Excel
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, and R)
Proven analytical skills
Problemsolving attitude
Experienced in managing work with distributed teams (?Nice to Have)
Experience working in SCRUM methodology (?Nice to Have)
Proven sense of high accountability and selfdrive to take on and see through big challenges (?Nice to Have)
Confident, takes ownership, willingness to get the job done (?Nice to Have)
Excellent verbal communications and cross group collaboration skills (?Nice to Have)

Responsibilities:

Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company information
Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality
Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements
Optimize new and current database systems
Define security and backup procedures
Coordinate with the Data Science department to identify future needs and requirements
Provide operational support for Management Information Systems (MIS)required
