We are Amazon’s Finance Operations Services organization (FinOps), responsible for Amazon’s Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Payroll and Customer Support Teams. We ensure on-time, accurate payments, billings, collections and cash application. We are seeking a Program Manager Specialist to build trust among our Accounts Receivable and Cash Application teams and stakeholders, to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable and positive business impact. The successful candidate will report to the Americas AR Operational Excellence Leader. The candidate will have domain of the order to cash processes (collections and cash application focus), program management, problem-solving and communication skills; will be interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels on a daily basis. The specialist will generate, and leverage insights based on Amazon’s unique data and metrics to lead strategic discussions with Financial Operations business teams to support FinOps leaders on making informed decisions.

Key job responsibilities
• Obsess on customer service by guiding the collection and cash application teams on AR processes, best practices, and Amazon leadership principles.
• Provide subject matter expertise, coach, guide on AR issues. Prove insight on collections and cash application strategies to resolve challenges and drive performance.
• Work with the leadership team to identify and implement best practices to streamline the Order to Cash (O2C) processes.
• Explore upstream/downstream improvement opportunities and document operating procedures for complex vendors/customers and situations.
• Recognize escalation trends and identify underlying defects and root causes to monitor, improve and deliver on key success and performance metrics.
• Ensure existing policies, procedures, and controllership guidelines are followed.
• Systemically intake, escalate, and triage receivables (collections and cash payments) contacts and issues and follow-through to resolution.
• Partner with upstream business, operations and technology teams to integrate scalable end-to-end O2C processes and solutions.
• Partner and influence business partners and other teams to resolve defects.
• Communicate directly with customers and vendors to resolve current invoice and billing discrepancies for all Amazon's clients to ensure timely and accurate receivables.

Key Focus:
* Customer Solutions - Support, Identify and Remove process gaps.
* Stakeholders Partnership - build strong relations among business partners, commercial teams and other Amazon teams to remove barriers and positively impact Amazon's cash flow.

2. Process Improvements / Automations
3. Controllership

About the team
The main job of the Accounts Receivable teams is to build a positive relationship with the customer and stakeholders to enable timely collections and cash application. As part of the AR OPS Excellence Team, the focus is to enhance and improve how processes are followed, and increase scope or capacity to positive impact Amazon's cash flow and profit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 2+ years of Process Improvements or Project/Program Management Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
