The Data Scientist uses data to extract knowledge, through working closely with Production Department to deliver data-driven insights, predictions, and recommendations to drive process improvement. Uses large amounts of data mining and analysis tools, builds, and implements models, uses and creates algorithms, and develops simulations. This role will be part of Align Technology goal to deliver the next generation of clear aligners (Invisalign®) to our customers. Test project in medium scaled environments. Propose new ideas and projects based on business and technical knowledge. Develop and launches models into Production. Formulate unstructured problems and identify highest-impact projects. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. In this role, you’ll need … Typically: University Bachelor’s degree. Or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience. 4-6 years of directly related experience. Proficiency in English. Problem solving skills, thoroughness, attentive to detail and decision-making skills. To be a team player, strong communication skills, both written and verbal. To participate, develop, test and implement projects with a high level of complexity that require minimum supervision. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. To be process and results oriented. Strong conflict management and critical thinking skills. To build good relationships with key business clients and supporting staff. Intermedia knowledge in databases. Strong leadership and project management skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects. Demonstrated competence in collecting and analyzing data and developing appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Overall business acumen with the ability to find the simplest, best path to solutions. Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. To be self-motivated and self-directed. Ability to set priorities and possess good organizational abilities. To be able to demonstrate creative and innovative solutions. To anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers. To provide mentorship for engineers that are in the entry level. Intermedia/Advance Excel skills. Power BI knowledge. Project management or Scrum certifications. Green belt/Black belt. Basic knowledge of SQL language. Basic knowledge of visual basic and C# is a plus. Python Machine Learning
