� We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong software engineering and cloud experience to join a high-impact engineering initiative focused on automation, cloud-native infrastructure, scalable platforms, and reliable software delivery. Our client is a technology company building and operating modern cloud-based applications and distributed platforms . As the engineering organization continues to scale, the team is investing heavily in cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, containerization, observability, and developer productivity . The team is now looking for a senior engineer who can serve as a technical bridge between software development and infrastructure , combining strong coding capabilities with hands-on DevOps and cloud expertise. 🔥 What You'll Work On You'll be designing, automating, and operating the platforms and engineering systems that enable teams to build and deliver software reliably at scale. Your work may involve:
- Designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Developing automation, internal tools, scripts, and services using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
- Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and release management
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related technologies
- Building and operating containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Automating infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, environment configuration, and operational workflows
- Developing APIs, automation services, and developer tooling that improve engineering productivity
- Implementing observability solutions across applications and infrastructure, including logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring, and alerting
- Applying DevSecOps and cloud security practices across infrastructure, applications, and delivery pipelines
- Troubleshooting production issues and improving system reliability, performance, scalability, and availability
- Integrating automated testing, quality gates, security scanning, and deployment validation into CI/CD workflows
- Working closely with Software Engineering, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture teams
- Documenting infrastructure, deployment processes, operational procedures, and technical decisions 🎯 What We're Looking For We're looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer with a strong coding background , not someone focused exclusively on infrastructure administration. You should have:
- Strong professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure, automation, and software delivery
- Strong programming experience with Python, Go, Bash, or another modern programming language
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking, security, and distributed systems
- Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications
- Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production observability
- Strong troubleshooting and production incident resolution experience
- Strong software engineering fundamentals around testing, maintainability, automation, scalability, and reliability
- Strong architectural judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication and collaboration skills ⭐ Nice to Have Experience with any of the following would be highly valuable:
- AWS, Azure, and GCP experience
- GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps
- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog , or similar observability platforms
- AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM , or equivalent cloud services
- Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or Packer
- Kubernetes operators, service meshes, or cloud-native networking
- Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, or other messaging platforms
- Cloud security, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and DevSecOps
- Serverless and event-driven architectures
- Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant distributed systems
- SRE practices , including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management
- Previous experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or other programming languages 💡 Why This Role? This is not a traditional DevOps role focused only on maintaining infrastructure .
