Job Description
As the Americas Benefits Specialist, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs across Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Costa Rica). Your mission is to ensure our benefits are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our business strategy, while supporting North America benefits administration as needed. You'll collaborate with HR partners, business leaders, and vendors to deliver exceptional employee experience and drive organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute benefits strategies that attract, retain, and motivate talent in Latin America.
- Benchmark programs against market trends and industry standards to maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee daily administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve escalated issues to ensure high-quality service.
- Deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and training across multiple platforms and languages.
- Administer leave programs (vacation, parental, medical, statutory) and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Analyze benefits utilization and costs, providing actionable insights to HR and business leaders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders on benefits strategy and budgeting
- Lead annual renewal processes across Latin American countries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits management, with at least 3 years focused on Latin America.
- Deep knowledge of benefits practices and regulations in at least two major Latin American countries (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica).
- Proven track record in vendor management and benefits renewals.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency with HRIS and benefits platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel.
