Travel: 5–10%. Primarily domestic within the Dominican Republic, with occasional travel to the United States for in-person meetings, workshops, or agency visits.

About Chai Vision

Chai Vision is a fast-growing e-commerce company with a dynamic portfolio of direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands across high-impact categories, including premium fitness and wellness, pets, children's toys, and outdoor equipment.

With a strong presence on Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop, we're scaling rapidly through a high-volume new customer acquisition engine and now we want to take customer retention to the next level. That's where you come in.

You will join a team of entrepreneurial player-coaches united by a shared mission: to scale our brands while simultaneously growing a vibrant, loyal customer base.

Role Summary

The Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager will manage Chai Vision's multi-brand retention and lifecycle programs. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth & Performance, you will be hands-on every day building best-in-class email marketing campaigns, automations, and flows with our retention agency partner. While the agency excels in the technical setup and execution of Klaviyo flows, campaigns, and segmentation, your role goes beyond Klaviyo tactical execution.


Who You Are

  • You will be singularly obsessed with increasing CLTV and repeat purchase rate for each of our brands.

  • You are an experienced email marketer for high-growth D2C brands and are fluent in Klaviyo. If asked to create a campaign email for a flash sale today, you know you can build, draft, segment, schedule, QA, and send the email yourself—end-to-end.

  • You are an email marketing nerd and student of the game—you know who at least one of the following are: Golden Hippo, BioTrust, or Natural Health Sherpa.

  • You effectively and speedily use AI tools to accelerate copywriting and design workflows, publishing compelling, conversion-driving copy and visuals as needed.

  • You understand how to balance direct response and brand marketing—driving immediate sales while also building emotional loyalty and brand affinity.

  • You are comfortable directly managing an agency partner that runs a high volume of daily campaigns, flows, and automations, ensuring their execution stays aligned with business goals.

  • You are comfortable working directly with an internal Creative team to seek creative and brand approvals—and you build and optimize workflows to minimize internal creative lift.

  • We're looking for a marketer with both technical fluency and commercial creativity: someone who can recognize new revenue opportunities (e.g., concepting and bringing to life a  "Puzzle of the Month" Club for a toy brand whose bestselling product is a premium Puzzle Station) and then drive them nose-to-tail by collaborating with Product, Creative, Digital, and Growth teams to launch and scale.

Key Responsibilities

Retention Strategy & Multi-Brand Growth

  • Develop and execute retention strategies across all Chai Vision brands to drive CLTV, repeat purchases, AOV, and email/SMS engagement to hit overall growth goals.

  • Oversee and optimize all email/SMS programs, ensuring brand-specific strategies align with broader company objectives.

  • Directly manage retention agency partner(s) to ensure retention initiatives are performance-driven, on brand, and delivered on time, in line with product launch and promotional calendars.

  • Build segmentation frameworks that scale across product categories while maintaining personalization.

Email & SMS Program Ownership

  • Act as the Klaviyo subject matter expert: owning account setup, deliverability, flows, and segmentation for multiple brands.

  • Collaborate with agencies to manage campaign calendars, content briefs, and optimization plans.

  • Create and optimize welcome series,
    post-purchase, win-back, cross-sell, and upsell series to maximize customer value.

  • Continuously improve click-through rates, conversion rates, open rates, and revenue per recipient against benchmarks through rigorous A/B testing.

Data & Analytics

  • Monitor and analyze retention KPIs for each brand—including CLTV, repeat purchase rate, churn rate, purchase frequency, flow performance, % revenue flows vs. campaigns.

  • Use Klaviyo and Shopify analytics, GA4, Triple Whale, and other tools to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.

  • Provide weekly reports for leadership with actionable recommendations for each brand.

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all email/SMS agency partners, managing scopes of work, timelines, and results.

  • Evaluate agency output, recommend improvements, and hold partners accountable to KPIs.

  • Own AI-powered tools (e.g., Blackcrow AI) for predictive personalization, advanced segmentation, and automation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with agency partners and internal creative team to develop high-performing content and visuals for campaigns and flows.

  • Align with Product, Merchandising, and Growth teams to coordinate launches, restocks, and promotions.

  • Share customer insights across departments to inform acquisition, product development, and merchandising strategies.

Qualifications 

  • Proven, advanced Klaviyo expertise—minimum 3 years managing email/SMS marketing for 7- or 8-figure D2C eCommerce brands. complex automations, and multi-brand accounts in a DTC e-commerce setting.

  • Demonstrated success improving CLTV, repeat purchase rate, and email marketable list growth.

  • Skilled in segmentation, personalization, lead generation, and A/B testing to optimize performance.

  • Familiarity with analytics platforms like GA4, Triple Whale, and Northbeam.

  • Proficiency with project management tools, especially

  • Demonstrated success managing and optimizing agency partnerships.

  • Based in the Dominican Republic with fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Bonus Skills 

  • Direct-response copywriting experience a plus.

  • Graphic design experience a plus.

  • Advanced experience building post-purchase series that drive repeat orders.

  • Familiarity with AI tools for personalization and prediction, such as Blackcrow AI.

  • Understanding of loyalty program setup and optimization.

  • Experience managing multiple brands or product categories simultaneously.
