As we continue to expand, we're seeking a talented senior Accounts Payable Lead to lead and scale our AP function supporting 100% U.S. operations. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a strong background in multinational environments, a deep understanding of U.S. payment and tax processes, and a clear interest in automation and continuous improvement.

You will lead a high-performing team, manage high transaction volumes, partner closely with Operations and Finance, and drive efficiency through technology, data, and disciplined execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team with clear accountability and performance standards.
  • Own the end-to-end AP process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Define, track, and analyze KPIs (cycle time, accuracy, backlog, automation rate).
  • Oversee rent, lease, and recurring contractual payments.
  • Execute and supervise U.S. federal, state, and local tax payments, including sales and use tax.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex vendor and internal payment issues.
  • Drive process improvement and AP automation initiatives (ERP optimization, OCR, 3-way match, approval workflows).
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and policies.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, and Operations to support fast and accurate closes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Graduate studies strongly preferred (MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or accounting operations, including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience working in multinational companies with structured processes.
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. payment processes, vendor management, and tax compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in process automation or AP digital transformation.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience (NetSuite preferred; SAP/Oracle acceptable).
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) required.
