We are looking to hire a Junior Technical PM to work ON-SITE in San Pedro Montes de Oca. Please find the Job Description:

Position Summary

We're seeking a Junior Technical Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of technology projects across cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who's eager to learn Agile project management, improve technical coordination skills, and grow into a senior technical PM role.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support & Coordination
  • Assist in managing day-to-day technology project activities under the guidance of senior PMs.
  • Help track progress across engineering, QA, and IT teams to ensure milestones are met.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, meeting notes, and action items.
  • Support backlog grooming and sprint planning activities.
  • Help ensure tickets and tasks are properly prioritized and assigned.
  • Monitor project timelines and update dashboards or reports as needed.
  • Partner with internal teams (engineering, product, IT, and operations) to ensure clear communication and task alignment.
  • Participate in technical discussions and document key outcomes.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Learn to balance priorities and assist in managing releases.
  • Help identify potential blockers and communicate them to senior PMs or engineering leads.
  • Follow up on dependencies between technical teams.
  • Create simple project reports and burndown updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain versioned documentation of decisions, project changes, and outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
  • Familiarity with tools like Click Up, Jira, or Asana.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are important.
  • Interest in SaaS products, integrations, or the financial services technology space

Education, Experience, Key Proficiencies, & Core Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technical or project coordination role (internships or entry-level roles welcome).
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and proactive in sharing updates.
  • Organization: Able to track multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.
  • Curiosity: Eager to learn how systems, integrations, and processes work.
  • Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and delivers on commitments.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifies issues early and proposes possible next steps.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
