Position Overview
An experienced consultant to support in optimizing its Samsara telematics system. This role focuses on enhancing system development, driving user adoption, maximizing operational value, and ensuring seamless management of telematics infrastructure. The ideal person will bring technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and strong collaboration skills to help streamline processes in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and promptly respond to inquiries in the telematics support inbox, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction (this is their internal support inbox for the field)
- Develop and manage user access, permissions, and configurations within the Samsara dashboard to align with organizational needs.
- Partner with division teams to proactively monitor Samsara device health, perform maintenance, and minimize downtime.
- Oversee hardware procurement, including ordering, shipping logistics, and inventory tracking for Samsara devices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot device malfunctions, coordinating replacements through the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau to visualize telematics data and support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop clear, user-friendly work procedures, job aids, and documentation to facilitate system adoption and training.
Qualifications
- Proven familiarity with Tableau or equivalent data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently, identify issues proactively, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with telematics systems in industrial settings is a plus
