JOB SUMMARY

ATL Technology is seeking a Sustaining Engineer II to join our team in Alajuela, Costa Rica. This role is essential in supporting the transition of new products into mass production and ensuring continuous improvement of existing products and processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable working directly with clients to resolve design and process challenges.


Location: Flexi Park, Edificio G, San Rafael, Alajuela
Reports to: Sustaining Engineering Supervisor
Type: Full-time

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in design of components for plastic injection molding, metal forming/stamping, and electro-mechanical devices preferred
  • SolidWorks certification preferred
  • Technical writing skills preferred
  • Advanced English is a must (B2+)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct interaction with clients to resolve design and process changes
  • Ensure designs meet functional requirements for mass production
  • Manage and implement customer or internal change requests
  • Draft and review process validation documentation, including test protocols and technical reports
  • Support the introduction of new product lines during NPI to mass production transition
  • Lead and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Plan, execute, and report performance qualification tests
  • Lead and support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
