SAP Project Manager – Advanced English – Remote from Costa Rica with occasional travel to USA

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead complex, multi-workstream transformation programs within a global environment. This role requires strong leadership, expert-level governance, and deep understanding of SAP landscapes and cross-functional business processes.

Location: Remote from Costa Rica with occasional travel to USA

Duration: One year, with possibility of extension

Language: Advanced English (mandatory) & Spanish



Requisitos

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct end-to-end delivery of multi-workstream SAP transformation programs, covering design, data migration, integration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.

  • Translate executive objectives into actionable program plans aligned with business strategy, process optimization, and technology outcomes.

  • Establish strong PMO governance: steering committees, KPIs, RAID management, financial oversight, and quality assurance frameworks.

  • Lead integration strategy and execution across ERP and non-ERP platforms (e.g., supply chain, engineering, CRM, analytics, payroll), ensuring consistency, interoperability, and performance.

  • Identify and articulate cross-functional dependencies (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, project-to-profit) to drive end-to-end process improvement.

  • Mentor and coordinate global teams of project managers, solution architects, and functional consultants, fostering accountability and collaboration.

  • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, forecasts, and commercial governance across vendors and delivery partners.

  • Champion organizational readiness, training, and communication efforts to ensure successful adoption and measurable business value.

  • Anticipate, quantify, and mitigate risks through structured escalation and governance mechanisms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or Engineering (MBA or Master's preferred).

  • 10–15 years of progressive program-management experience leading large-scale ERP or digital-transformation initiatives.

  • Proven track record delivering cross-industry transformations within complex, multi-vendor integration environments.

  • Strong ability to align business-process design with financial and operational goals.

  • Comprehensive understanding of ERP value chains and key performance drivers.

  • Deep knowledge of SAP governance, data migration, and deployment strategies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-stakeholder management.

  • Financial acumen with experience in performance-based reporting.

  • Ability to lead distributed, multicultural teams across time zones.

  • Certifications preferred: PMP, PgMP, or SAP Cloud Implementation Manager; Agile/SAFe credentials desirable.

  • Measurable improvement in process efficiency and value-chain visibility.

  • Stable integration performance across SAP and third-party systems.

  • High stakeholder and executive-sponsor satisfaction throughout the program lifecycle.
