Position Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality training programs that support successful adoption and utilization of the company's dental software solutions. This role plays a key part in ensuring that dental practices, and internal teams receive comprehensive, accurate, and professional training that aligns with organizational standards and enhances the customer experience. The Training Specialist also provides strategic input into training processes (apart from Stage software), mentors junior trainers, and partners with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Training Program Development & Execution
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials—including e-learning modules, virtual learning sessions, documentation, and certification resources—specific to dental software workflows.
- Deliver expert-level training to dental CAD/CAM designers, internal staff through in-person, virtual, and on-demand formats.
- Ensure all training content reflects current software functionality, industry best practices, and regulatory considerations.
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge, performance, and customer needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the company's dental software, supporting users in maximizing workflow efficiency, accuracy, and clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Partners, Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure training aligns with product updates, feature releases, and organizational strategies.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate training effectiveness through performance metrics
- Recommend improvements to training methodologies, delivery channels, and content planning.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency across all training programs and documentation.
- Support development and management of internal training standards, SOPs, and quality frameworks.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to junior trainers and CAD/CAM designers.
- Represent the Training & Education team in cross-functional meetings, product review sessions, and internal planning discussions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree, Instructional Design, Dental Technology, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in training or instructional design, preferably within dental technology, CAD/CAM systems, dental imaging, or clinical software.
- Proven expertise in developing and delivering corporate training programs in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Ability to translate complex software functionality into clear, accessible learning content.
- Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and professionally—both in writing and speaking.
- Demonstrated and sustained high quality performance, supported by measurable results over the past 12 months.
Preferred
- Experience in dental, orthodontic, or laboratory workflows involving digital scanning, planning, or case management solutions.
- Experience creating technical training content for software products in a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret training data and adoption metrics.
