Position Summary
The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting the organization's SharePoint environments. This role ensures the efficient operation, security, and availability of SharePoint sites and services, providing technical expertise and support to users while collaborating with IT and business teams to optimize workflows and document management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SharePoint Online, sites, libraries, and lists, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Manage SharePoint permissions, user access, and security settings to safeguard sensitive information.
- Configure and customize SharePoint features, workflows, and web parts based on business requirements.
- Monitor system health, perform regular backups, and oversee disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
- Collaborate with IT staff and stakeholders to implement SharePoint solutions that improve business processes.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
- Stay current with SharePoint updates, patches, and best practices to ensure platform security and efficiency.
- Train and support end users in SharePoint usage, features, and best practices.
- Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise applications and services as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or in a similar IT systems administration role.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, configuration, and management (SharePoint Online and/or On-Premises).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and related cloud technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration tasks.
- Solid knowledge of networking, security, and data protection principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate) are a plus.
