Mgr I Facilities

TE Connectivity's Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.

**Role Summary**:
Responsibilities include managing a work team. Also, seek the respective improvements in efficiencies and lower production costs. Included within your scope, the correct introduction to production mode, of new part numbers. This will be achieved through proper evaluation through engineering tests, validation and industrialization of the product/part number.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Manage projects that include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions, as well as support for the introduction of new products.
- Coordinate the design, supply, manufacture and qualification of tools, machinery and equipment to be tested.
- Generate and maintain product routes, process drawings and standard costs.
- Provide justifications, implementation and capital validation of new equipment.
- Review the manufacturing and process capability of new and existing products.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of reliable and repeatable processes that meet safety, quality, performance and cost objectives.
- Improve efficiency by optimizing process flow, equipment performance, and best manufacturing practices.
- Develop and implement cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
- Ensure the use of engineering principles and rigor to solve complex design and process challenges.
- Establish project priorities, effective management of resources to meet business objectives and monitor progress.
- Participate in the development, modification and execution of department policies.
- Stays up to date with the latest processes, technology and industry trends.
- Ensure budgets, planning and quality requirements are met.
- Determine staffing needs, discipline, and terminations by reviewing attendance and performance records.
- Ensures that the quality of service meets the requirements of internal and external customers.
- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and practices.
- All other assigned duties.

**Skills**:

- MBA, Bachelor or Graduate in Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a strong emphasis on technology and wire processes. (preferably medical device industry).
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience as a supervisor/manager in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Desirable with a working knowledge of mechanical design, FEA, geometric tolerances, metrology, machine control and metallurgy desirable.
- Experience with DFM, Lean/Six Sigma principles and design of experiments.
- Highly developed in leadership skills.
- Ability to map tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Develop, monitor, and live within budgets, as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones.
- Must be an expert in delegating, working in a team and focused on accountability.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and productively with others.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change.
- Demonstrate the ability to create and read engineering drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of CAD Software (SolidWorks, ProEngineer, CATIA, etc.).
