Front Desk Receptionist

An independent contractor is an individual engaged directly by the Company for a particular project usually for a limited period of time, generally not to extend beyond six months. Independent contractors are self-employed, must have an established business before being engaged and are typically paid on an hourly rate. The written terms of engagement are defined in a Master Services Agreement (MSA) which describes the scope of work, deliverables, milestones and a payment schedule. All independent contractors are required to sign a MSA, in addition to a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). Independent contractors may or may not work on site and typically manage their work product delivery and schedule, in accordance with the agreement. Typically, work equipment and supplies are provided by the independent contractor not the Company.
