The Amazon Screening Services Operations Manager, based in San Jose, CRI has complete responsibility for the pre-employment screening operations for our North America Customer Fulfillment hiring program. We are known for our speed, accuracy and exceptional service which supports associate on-boarding.
This position leads a global team of Managers and Process Leads located in San Jose, CRI and and Hyderabad, IND. In this role, you ‘ll help us deliver pre-employment screens by exceeding productivity and quality goals ensuring a seamless on-boarding experience for new Amazonians. Our scale is expansive and continues to grow.
Key job responsibilities
Project Management and Communication:
- Presents operational metrics to the senior leadership team.
- Identifies service gaps and implements process improvement solutions.
- Leads the implementation of training initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
- Creates data driven business cases and manages enhancements.
- Drives solutions to escalations, providing root cause analysis and recommendation.
People Management:
- Problem-solves for closing team performance gaps.
- Hires and develops talent.
- Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the network wide vision and goals.
- Develops & Communicates policies to associates and creates mechanisms to ensure compliance.
- Manages the team workflow to maintain service levels and ensure equitable workloads.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon’s policies and procedures; additional responsibilities include interviewing, training and motivating employees; planning, assigning and directing work, employee engagement, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Customer Service:
- Manages key stakeholders.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- General understanding of HR Services workload and priorities.
- Knows and interprets complex legal stipulations.
- Advocates for HR Services.
- Experience managing permanent and contingent workforce
- HR central services, recruiting services, and pre-employment screening knowledge
