**Functional Tester (Remote)**

**Heredia, Costa Rica**

SGF Global is looking for a Functional Tester, for IT enterprise in Heredia, Costa Rica.

**Requirements**:

- Good knowledge & experience with QA methodology & industry-standard testing & bug tracking & test case management tools (Jira, Testrail).
- Experience creating test cases from user stories / business requirements.
- Experience developing test strategies for test plans & test cases.
- Experience working as a part of team practicing agile as a development approach, writing test cases for user stories & executing them within a sprint / iteration.
- Experience driving quality through process, instrumentation, requirements & testing.
- Experience communicating cross-functionally within team, business in formal & informal settings.
- Experience working with databases. Ability to look up data in the DB table (DB2, Postgres etc) & write query to retrieve the data (simple SQL's).
- Understanding of how back-end systems work with UI (for example, how data flows from DB to API to UI).
- Experience with an automation framework (Cypress preferred) **(**Preferred)
- Experience with usability best practices; able to influence & improve user experience (preferred)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills (preferred)
- Experience building UAT strategies & facilitating UAT sessions with end-users (preferred)
- Experience with one scripting language (preferred)
- Experience in automation testing (preferred)
- English C1
