Team Overview and Job responsibilities

Based in Heredia, Belén, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and monitor good security practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of professionals who receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.
- Provides inputs to planning to ensure that that there is sufficient inventory to meet the organization’s needs by ordering products; and managing out-of-stock over-stocked products.
- Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information; place orders; or respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)
- Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely, and warehouse space is used efficiently.
- Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Supervise staff to ensure that all warehouse activities, and all machines and equipment operated, safely.
- Train new workers in the organization’s operating procedures and standards.

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, electrical, production engineering or related field (or equivalent years of experience).

Solid knowledge of warehouse processes, business systems and logistics operations.

5+ years of experience in logistics operations and previous experience leading logistics/warehouse teams.

Previous experience in inventory management.

Intermediate to advanced English level.

MS Office Advanced

Previous experience in SAP is a Plus.
