BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Finance or related field
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)
- Prior experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
- Proven analytical problem solving skills in a complex space, attention to detail, and exceptional communication & organizational skills
- Ability to manage a broad range of tasks and a track record of efficiently meeting deadlines
- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to consistently maintain a high level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information
- Proven superb customer service to the leadership team and other key stakeholders
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

Job summary
Customer Trust and Partner Support (CTPS) is Amazon's global organization that constantly makes high judgment decisions across a wide breadth of constituents. We build and deliver services for Buyers, Sellers, Vendors and other customers. Under CTPS, the Selling Partner Risk organization - Abuse Prevention team launches products and services that detect and prevent abuse in our store before it impacts a customer. We work with business partners across the organization to find and close gaps that lead to abuse and create and enforce selling policies that help ensure we have a fair marketplace. Our product and program managers work hand in hand with our engineering and science partners to develop and implement innovative solutions that help Sellers become successful and stop bad actors at scale, globally.
We are seeking an exceptional Business Analyst who loves solving complex problems to drive analysis and insights to help our teams make meaningful business decisions. As a Business Analyst, you will focus on improving the account security of Sellers in our store by analyzing data, discovering and solving real world problems, and building metrics and business cases to improve Selling Partners and Customers' experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
- Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
- Experience working in risk, fraud, or ML organizations
- Prior experience in analytic modeling and advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data
- Proven ability to clearly communicate insights and influence buy-in to stakeholders & senior leaders
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
- Proficiency in 1+ programming language (Python, R, etc)
- Advanced working knowledge of data mining using, ETL, data warehouse
- Experience using AWS analytical services (e.g., Redshift, Data Pipeline, EMR, Machine Learning, Kinesis)
