**ROLE DESCRIPTION**:
We’re looking for a Global People Partner and Operations Leader reporting directly to our Chief Talent Officer. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering on our people strategy and drive implementation of key infrastructure, technology, and processes that drive outstanding performance and extraordinary experiences for Hakkoda employees globally. As the first line People Partner role in the region, you will be the primary point of contact for regional leaders, employees, recruiters and other HR resources. You will provide strategic talent/HR partnership and drive cross-functional leadership across all regions.
**THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE**:
- Build the People Partner & Operations team and operating model with a focus on country specific expertise (Costa Rica, Mexico, Portugal, UK) with local oversight
- Lead, and grow a global team composed of talent acquisition and people operations and leverage the wider people/talent functions to execute Hakkoda’s business priorities
- Develop an integrated strategy, roadmap, and deployment for People Systems and Total Rewards (e.g., Rippling HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Recognition, Wellness)
- Build deep cross functional relationships and partner with team members across Hakkoda to understand needs and assess existing people processes, technology and practices.
- Provide consultative People Partner services such as, organizational design, culture, employee relations, talent and leadership developmentCollaborate across HR, payroll, IT in pursuit of enabling the scaling of the business.
- Support People operation responsibilities specific to HR inquiries, HR system troubleshooting, and provide input for systematic and process resolution of HR issues.
- Partner with teams to design and manage programs in line with our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- You understand business drivers and can design the ideal People infrastructure and levers needed to support global growth.
- You are analytical and data driven with product and process design skills, a robust understanding of People technologies, and an ambition to innovate with urgency..
- You are an expert in deploying organizational design, coaching people leaders at all levels, navigating employee relations, and being a strategic thought partner to the business.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing global people operations, HR, Talent Acquisition or related functions.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across different geographies (for example, US, LATAM, UK, Portugal)
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align people strategies with organizational objectives.
- Use people analytics to generate insights, to identify, lead and implement programs that scale. Present findings back to the business with recommended action plans and ability to act without having direct authority.
- A visionary mindset with a driver leadership mentality and ability to influence leaders to plan for and address complex organizational challenges for business success and scale.
- Demonstrated experience managing global, remote, & distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with talent acquisition and business leaders to define a hiring plan and execute.
- Ability to manage employee relation issues such as investigations, disciplinary issues and performance management situations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
