As a member of the Joby Finance team, you’ll require critical thinking, superb analytical skills, flexibility, out-of-the-box thinking, and a voracious appetite for learning and improvement. You’ll need to have a firm grasp of accounting and financial concepts, and the desire to expand upon that knowledge. As a primarily R&D-focused company, we operate in a high-paced environment, with constant changes and growing operations. For this, you will need to have good time management skills and the ability to deliver results consistently and with adequate quality.
You’ll also have the chance to work with a multiethnic team of incredible professionals from different fields and cultures, all driven by the desire to change human mobility, which will require good communication skills, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, great service skills and the desire to bring people together to achieve higher goals.
**Responsibilities**:
**What You Will Get to Do**
- Develop compelling reports to communicate the results of your analysis and key insights in a concise and accessible manner to non-finance personnel and the management team.
- Master our financial analysis software, database systems and BI tools; allowing you to propose and enable improvements in our workflows, our analysis and process times.
- Comprehensively understand the financial results, including researching underlying drivers, identifying trends and KPI’s.
- Use the acquired knowledge in business operations and trends to precisely forecast the future of the company and assist in long term planning.
- Diagnose and communicate trends to department leads and management teams to make timely decisions.
- Support day-to-day reporting & analytic requests with accurate and timely information by using pre-set templates or developing ad hoc solutions.
- Partner with accounting to review and ensure high quality financial results, assisting in quarter-end and year-end financial audits.
- Constantly improve our processes and help make the business stronger by using problem solving skills and data management skills.
Required:
**What You Will Bring to the Table**
- 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis or business systems.
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or data science (with an emphasis and experience in Finance).
- B2+ or higher English level.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies. Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Impeccable attention to detail
- A drive to overcome any barriers to get the job done.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Intermediate or advance skills in Excel
- Administration experience with FP&A tools (Hyperion, OneStream, Vena) (Desirable)
- Significant experience with BI reporting tools (Desirable)
- Programming skills in Python and practical knowledge of SQL (Desirable)
