The individual in this position works with Cloud Infrastructures (Azure DevOps, VMWare Private Cloud) and Operating Systems (Linux, RHEL, MS Server, etc.) and a variety of technologies including Terraform or Ansible, and is comfortable with configuration and maintenance of VM within a Cloud Infrastructure. The SIE has a strong understanding of Distributed Systems, Infrastructure, Automation, and SaaS-based release models

**In this role you will**:

- Contribute to engineering efforts to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing.
- Configuration of Virtual Machines, Network Infrastructure, and Shared Services to support migration of workloads to VMWare Private Cloud
- Develop Terraform or Ansible-based templates for use with approved common modules and provisioning process for Ubuntu Linux, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server
- Develop and test the required modules for provisioning, configuration, baseline instrumentation, and system hardening leveraging Terraform, Ansible, or another automation scripting
- Design and build tooling and infrastructure to drive adoption of best practices in resource utilization, organization, monitoring, and maintainability of existing deployments.
- Strong sense of ownership and desire to build great tools for other engineers.
- Debugs or troubleshoots complex or critical issues that cannot be handled by junior positions.

**What are we looking for? Besides a great attitude,**

**You should have**:

- At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Expertise in Implementing the architecture using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) language (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with any other automation scripting platform like Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance of Operating Systems like Ubuntu Linux, RHEL, and Microsoft Server.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g. Azure DevOps, VMWare Private Cloud, Azure, etc.) and deployment guidelines.
- Familiarity with web performance, such as load balancing and caching (CDN, HTTP caching, memory caching, etc.)
- Capable of configuring continuous integration servers (using Azure CI pipelines) and defining multiple environments as required for each project.
