Inventory E&O Mitigation Planner

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.Global Operations prioritizes putting customers and partners first by developing the workforce of the future. Set of products to manage excess and obsolescence (E&O) will be assigned. Will be responsible to identify excess during any stage of the lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to minimize the excess. Mitigation includes collaboration with other organizations, Sourcing, planning, product management, etc. Final step of mitigation will include broker and scrap. Will be responsible to present E&O claim, track mitigation, request reserves, and complete all necessary requirements prior to scrapping material.
- Manages complex data and business analyses to develop mitigation plans and make recommendations.
- Works independently to construct reports to project E&O.
- Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of supply chain and operations.
- Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.
- Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.
- Identifies process and tool improvement opportunities to enhance mitigation activities.
- Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.

Education and Experience Required:

- University degree
- Typically 5+ years experience in planning, operations, or related functional area.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology to identify root cause and provide corrective actions
- Ability to manage tools and resources available for mitigation and planning
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
- Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis
- Excellent business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Developed relationship management skills
