**PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operate compliance initiatives and reporting to improve the overall security posture of the organization
- Support information security framework control gap assessments, gap remediation, ongoing security control compliance management, and continual improvement initiatives
- Assist with information security audits (ISO 27001and other frameworks as appropriate)
- Collaborate on awareness and communication activities related to compliance and information security frameworks
- Assist and support inventory of controls and framework mappings
- Aid in security policy and standards update process
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:
BS in Information Technology, Management, Business Administration, or related area may be substituted with years of experience in field.
- Experience with/or course study in information security frameworks/standards (e.g., ISO27001, NIST-800-53 etc.)
- An understanding of cybersecurity control best practices
- Solid technical knowledge
- Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of people successfully across internal IT and business functions and external to organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in both technical and business terms
- Entry level work experience in information security management and/or related functions (such as Information Security Management, IT Risk Management, and IT Audit)
- Understanding of how to evaluate security concepts/controls for effectiveness
- Solid background/study in IT roles such as Information Security, Governance and Compliance, IT Risk Management, and Information Security Audits, with an enduring curiosity in cybersecurity
**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:
- Nice to have PowerBI or similar experience or coursework
