MDM Material Master Business Analyst Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Handle non-routine and difficult inquiries related to 3M material create tools and processes.

3. Lead or coach employees during projects or train/mentor new employees in functional disciplines related to 3M material create processes.

4. Provide direction, advice, or focus as needed, with decisions impacting the operational effectiveness of multiple work groups.

5. Perform various work tasks, including:

- Identify problems and opportunities for improvement with components or processes used in IT solutions delivery.
- Provide technical support for operational solutions (hardware/software) to meet changing IT needs.
- Produce conversion plans and perform programming of difficult systems.
- Provide users with documentation and ongoing communication for productive system use.
- Participate in system design, development, and implementation.
- Write specifications, test coding, and support implementation.
- Initiate testing and/or modification of new/existing components within assigned expertise.
- Lead projects, linking project steps to business strategies, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.
- Manage and document changes to components/processes within assigned responsibilities.

6. Cultivate a network of resources for completing assignments.

7. Develop personal knowledge of client organization functions, IT interfaces, and IT needs.

8. Primary contacts are typically internal and on a managerial, professional, supervisory, or co-worker level.

9. Actively participate in corporate programs/initiatives, comply with professional and quality standards, corporate policies and procedures, and act in accordance with 3M's values and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
Required:

- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- 1+ years of experience working in SAP
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Solid computer skills, problem-solving skills, systems analysis and/or programming skills, and analytical skills.
- Business Analysis Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to gather and document requirements, conduct feasibility studies, perform gap analysis, and create functional specifications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and present findings and recommendations.
- Proficiency in creating clear and concise documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans. Experience in creating reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Database Management, Web Development, or similar).
- Additional certifications or specialized training in SAP, MS Power Apps, and JIRA.
- General knowledge of sku/material create tools/processes, general 3M structure, organization, and business.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various IT tools and technologies, such as SQL, data modeling, business intelligence tools, project management software, and requirements management tools.
