Decision Support Coe

Job Description: Part of the Enterprise Finance Decision Support (EFDS) organization, the Decision Support Center of Excellence (DS CoE) is a centralized Finance department with locations in the US, UK, China, and Costa Rica. The DS CoE provides comprehensive financial reporting, financial support, and guidance to the commercial finance teams within each market for the Americas, Europe, AfMe and Asia Pacific Regions. The DS CoE encompasses the analytical and advisory activities performed by the Finance Organization, including Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Business Strategy & Support, Financial Analysis, Data Validation & Reconciliation, Cost of Sales Analytics and Management Reporting. The DS CoE CoS Team Lead will serve as the tactical lead for the CoS activities supported from the San Jose site (AfME; Europe; Latam & Canada). This will include processing business partner requests, process oversight for the CoS support activities, managing the performance of direct reports by supporting goal setting and assessment of goal completion in line with Pfizer semester/annual processes. The CoS Team Lead will ensure the timely and quality delivery of information to vested business partners and work with partners to achieve alignment and understanding on difficult issues or conflicts. The CoS Team Lead will report into the DS CoE Site Lead for Latin America and assist in strategic planning for the CoS support model and any changing organizational needs. The CoS Team lead will be responsible for ensuring process and functional knowledge is shared across the team in a timely manner and will be responsible for balancing current BAU deliverables along with planning and deploying multiple projects as required. How You Will Achieve It - Demonstrating strong technical and functional knowledge as pertaining to the DS CoE CoS team, working to share that knowledge across the CoS team and wider DS CoE organization as appropriate; with consideration of appropriate risk levels, plans and implements continuous improvement activities with the team to ensure best in class CoS processes. - Supervise general PBF COS activities for divisions and international markets supported by DS CoE San Jose - Serve as a key liaison between supported markets/BFC/Regional related to general CoS Analysis, reporting requirements, and ad hoc requests - Understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of Pfizer’s financial processes and systems; ensure the quality of the numbers. - Partner with senior leadership to develop and translate the vision and strategy of EFDS/DS CoE from a systems, process, policy, and procedures perspective. - Report to senior leaders on key performance metrics within "Open to Close Pending" CoS Tickets - In charge of performance and development of own team - Responsible for the hiring process of own team as well as collaborate when needed in the hiring process for other DS CoE Teams - Ensure alignment and cohesive process across Global DS CoE CoS process, including collaboration with the Dalian site to ensure aligned global models. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, MBA and/or CPA preferred - 5+ years of experience in a decision support/business analysis, finance, and/or project management roles - Experience successfully navigating a large organization and managing multiple stakeholder interests - Strong leadership abilities: proven visionary thinking with a clear ability to construct, energize and manage a large team of colleagues - Demonstrate Experience in SAP; HFM; GMX - Fluency in English and Spanish Required and Portuguese Desired - Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management - Ability to lead and motivate others - Strong knowledge of project management models and tools Strong understanding of Finance Management Reporting & Analysis processes and reports Pfizer decision support experience in management reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting preferred Work Location Assignment: Flexible Pfizer is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable equal employment opportunity legislation in each jurisdiction in which it operates.
